Our Classes
Intro to dance - 18 months to 3 years old
Parent & Me
A parent-tot class designed to develop gross motor skills, listening skills, and following instructions all while nurturing the creative spirit. Our EDA instructors cater this class towards fun movement for little dancers and parents who are excited about dance and ballet!
Lil Wiggles
A creative movement class suitable for dancers 2-3 years old or for dancers who are not yet enrolled in Pre-K. Dancers in this class learn basic dance steps and terminology through songs, stories, and creative play/dance. This environment encourages your child to explore the arts in a fun, and structured environment.
Kidlets - Pre K through 5 Years
Tippy Toes
A creative movement ballet class designed to enhance gross motor development, listening skills, musicality. We utilize a program called Leap 'N Learn which also helps children learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners, which include learning how to take turns, following another dancer or leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others, and having a positive attitude.
Concepts are explored throughout the year such as classroom etiquette, musical awareness, relationships to the working space and stage, expressing emotion through movement, and pantomime.
Funky Tots
A funky, fast-paced introduction teaching beginning hip hop skills to preschool dancers. Our classes are structured around the Leap 'N Learn curriculum which helps children learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners, which include learning how to take turns, following another dancer or leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others, and having a positive attitude.
Concepts are explored throughout the year such as classroom etiquette, musical awareness, relationships to the working space and stage, expressing emotion through movement, and pantomime.
Little Flippers
A creative and engaging introduction to acro and tumbling for even the littlest dancers. In this class dancers will learn the basics of acro class through the highly sought out Acrobatic Arts Syllabus. Dancers learn about strength, balance, body awareness, taking turns, following instruction, and acrobatic dance.
Lil Tap/Jazz
This 45 min combo class introduces dancers to some fast-paced fun while learning the rhythms of tap and Jazz as well as basic gross motor skills, how to take class, musicality and dance to upbeat music.
We utilize a program called Leap 'N Learn which also helps children learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners, which include learning how to take turns, following another dancer or leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others, and having a positive attitude.

KidDance - kindergarten and 1st grade
Bowties & Tutus
This is a beginning ballet class focused on learning terminology of ballet through creative movement. At EDA we implement Leap N Learn curriculum which helps children learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners, which include learning how to take turns, following another dancer or leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others, and having a positive attitude.
Concepts are explored throughout the year such as classroom etiquette, musical awareness, relationships to the working space and stage, expressing emotion through movement, and pantomime.
Leap 'N Learn classes in the early childhood program are grouped into age-specific levels for three- to seven-year-olds, with the content based on age-appropriate developmental skills. Then Leap 'N Learn's 8-Year-Old and Ballet I programs are grouped for eight- to ten-year-olds by age and experience that will best benefit a deeper study and understanding of dance.
Petite Tap & Jazz
This class introduces dancers to some fast-paced fun while learning the rhythms of tap and will alternate weekly working the beginning elements of jazz technique.
At EDA we implement Leap N Learn curriculum which helps children learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners, which include learning how to take turns, following another dancer or leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others, and having a positive attitude.

Hippity Hop
A funky, fast-paced class for young dancers that exposes them to the rhythm and grooves of hip hop. The perfect combination of hard work and fun.

Tiny Tumbling
An acro style of dance for young dancers. This class includes flexibility, limbering, tumbling, and more. It is a strength and flexibility based class. This is an introduction to acro and tumbling for this age group. In this class dancers will learn the basics of acro class through the highly sought out Acrobatic Arts Syllabus. Dancers learn about strength, balance, body awareness, taking turns, following instruction, and acrobatic dance.
Classes for 7+
All of our classes are designed for ages and level. Our "Beginning and Building" program focuses on dancers from the age range of 2nd-5th grade while our "Rising and Focus" program focuses on dancers in the 6th-12th grade age range. Dancers who are invited to our graded technique program will be leveled based on their ability and technique. For more information please download our studio information kit.
Ballet
Ballet is the “backbone” of all dance training. In ballet the student will learn grace, elegance, technique, discipline, flexibility, stamina, and endurance.
Pointe or Pre-Pointe
Once students are a certain age and ability they can begin to take pre-pointe class with the approval of our ballet instructors. Pre Pointe class is an introduction to pointe and focuses on building muscle, ankle strength and flexibility and prepares them for pointe. Pointe is a class done in pointe shoes, after being approved from pre-pointe and ballet instructors.
Jazz
Focused on both performance skills and technical execution, jazz is an upbeat style of dance that incorporates fun and fast paced movements along with technique from leaps and turns.
Acro
A form of gymnastics that focuses on more of an artistic approach. This includes flexibility, limbering, tumbling, and a more graceful style. It is a strength and flexibility based class.
Tap
Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (jazz) tap and Broadway tap.
Musical Theater
Musical Theatre dance combines hit songs from Broadway musicals and shows and jazz dancing. Dancers learn how to multitask with lip-syncing, dancing, and acting.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance combines jazz and ballet. This style consists of slow movement that is pretty and fluid and requires advanced body awareness and control.
Hip Hop
A funky, fast-paced style of dance that is fun for all ages, levels, and genders. Focusing a lot on music video moves, house dancing, breakdancing, and more.
Modern
Modern dance is a younger art form than ballet and the movement style centers on the dancer's own interpretations instead of the standardized movements and structured steps of classical or traditional ballet. However, Modern dance does use many of the classical vocabulary and terminology.
